Bridget Scarbrough
Bridget grew up in the DFW area and is a proud TCU Horned Frog alum. After moving from Fort Worth to Dallas, she and her husband settled in Plano in 2013. She is an oncology registered nurse but has temporarily hung up her stethoscope for the glamorous life of being a personal chauffeur, chef, and maid to her two tiny bosses, Elizabeth (5) and Henry (1). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing, and exploring new places. Her happy place is a cozy coffee shop with her journal in one hand and a latte in the other.
Jennifer Fiske
Jennifer ("Jenn") Fiske grew up in San Antonio as the only-child from a military family. She's lived in DFW for 10 years with her husband, and their family has grown to include their toddler son and a sweet puppy. Jenn is a registered dietitian nutritionist with a master's in exercise and sports nutrition. She worked with FC Dallas for several seasons while also coaching gymnastics at WOGA Frisco. Jenn is a self-proclaimed bookworm who bakes when she's stressed. Jenn loves being active through strength training and yoga and exploring parks with her son.
Cassie Henderson Nguyen
Cassie is a freelance content writer, copywriter, ghostwriter, and mom of two. She's a lifelong storyteller with a background in children's theater and early childhood development. She taught kindergarten in Denton ISD before pivoting to freelancing after she became a mom. When she isn't writing or wrangling her little ones, she can be found devouring the latest greatest books or playing board games.
Jennifer Waldon
Jennifer was raised in Louisiana and moved to DFW right after college. She's been in Texas for 16 years. Together with her husband has two beautiful daughters who are as different as night and day. That second born keeps everyone on their toes! Jennifer is a full-time stylist for a subscription company while her husband’s career takes him all over the world. While they’re never sure when and where he will be, Jennifer has become quite adept at balancing work from home while also being a stay-at-home mom with the two year old constantly by her side.
Cheri Whitelock
Cheri is a true Texan, born in McKinney and has lived all over the metroplex! She currently calls Rockwall home where she lives with her BBQ smoking husband and two adventurous boys, Liam who is 13 and August who is 10. When she isn’t teaching full time or taking the boys to sports of all sorts, she enjoys being outside with her family, traveling, writing, reading, entertaining at their home and helping her husband expand their BBQ business! Jenny Wang
Jenny is the clinical director of Lifeologie Frisco, balancing her busy career with the joy of raising her four kids and enjoying life with her husband, Stanley, of 24+ years. Based in Little Elm, Texas, Jenny loves outdoor adventures like biking and hiking around Lake Lewisville. She’s always up for cheering on her family in their many activities. Born in Canada, raised in San Diego, and a Texan since she was 15, Jenny is also a passionate foodie -- thrilled with the growing Asian food scene in the metroplex. She’s always ready for a food festival, a trip to the farmer's market, or a drive to Arkansas to visit her college-aged daughter!
Kathy Riojas
Kathy is a native Texan who has lived in Carrollton since she was four. She holds a master's degree in counseling from SMU. After 13 years in public education, Kathy traded middle-school hallways for a small office in a private practice. She and her husband, Juan, are raising three children whose ages span from 21 to four years old. Following an autism diagnosis of their youngest son, Kathy has prioritized mental and physical health. Nothing prepares you for this news as a parent. Kathy credits her friends, family, faith, Trader Joe's, Orangetheory, and the occasional weekend getaway for keeping her fulfilled and sane.
Laura Riley
Laura is a mother, children’s book author, journalist, and teacher. Her love for story telling began at Ball State University where she studied broadcast journalism. Upon graduation, she went on to work for affiliate NBC and Fox News stations. In 2021, she was able to fulfill a life-long dream of becoming an author when she published her first book,The Legend of the Stinky Sock. As a junior high journalism teacher, Laura feels privileged to share her passion for writing with her amazing students and hopes to inspire a new generation of reporters.
Leslie Bartula
Leslie graduated from the University of Notre Dame where she met her husband, Matt. After living in Chicago (and its suburbs) for 10 years, they relocated to DFW and have lived in Richardson since 2016. She is a stay-at-home mama to three boys (May 2014, February 2016, and October 2021), one girl (July 2018), and a crazy pup. She spends her free time running, reading, cooking, gardening, and adding projects to their home improvement list. Mary Briggs
Mary is a Mississippi native. She relocated to the DFW to be an English teacher 10 years ago and has since transitioned to the corporate world. She has a bachelors degree in English and masters degree in curriculum and instruction. Mary and her husband have their hands full two little girls — a rambunctious pandemic baby and a sweet newborn. In between washing and combing hair, Mary enjoys reading, playing the piano, and trying new recipes.
Mariana Rausch
Mariana was born and raised in Portugal. She moved to Texas in 2016 and is now a stay-at-home mom of two amazing girls, one of whom was born with CHD. She loves homeschooling, exploring science, and enjoying the pool with her daughters. With a love for homesteading, her family cares for quails and chickens and is excited to start their own garden soon.
Sarah Crilley
Sarah is on a new season of motherhood -- navigating life with a busy toddler and teenager! Life is truly a balancing act keeping both ages and stages happy while working full time. Sarah joins Fort Worth Moms as a fellow mom of twp, with previous experience writing for Collin County Moms as a senior contributor, joining at its inception in October 2016. Sarah is married and works full time as a publicist locally to DFW. On weekends she is always on the hunt for a new park to explore with the kids or a cafe to sip coffee. Sarah Hess
Sarah Mae is the owner of Photography of Sarah Mae and a local Collin County mom. She began her professional photography career shooting weddings in Southern Indiana, but now captures families and weddings across the DFW. Her one claim to fame is winning a dance video contest on Instagram with hundreds of submissions. Her winning dance video had over 10k views back in the day before #reels.
Sarah Spencer
Sarah was raised in Plano, took a detour in Oklahoma for college, and now lives in McKinney. She's a teacher and mom who believes that 10 three year olds are easier to handle than one. Sarah and her husband, Nathaniel, are foster and adoptive parents and advocates. Big fans of deep conversations, they run a blog that helps parents connect with their kids over entertainment. She likes to try DIY projects that are way over her head and experiment with different teas and chocolates while binge-watching great series. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sarah met her husband in college where they were both pursuing music degrees. After several fast-paced years in New York City, they settled in the Fort Worth area in 2013. Their greatest adventure began in early 2019 with the birth of their daughter Eleanor. Sarah currently works in the real estate industry. She enjoys practicing yoga, watching "bad" tv, perusing restaurant menus online, and pretending she can cook and host like the Barefoot Contessa. Sarah is a social media coordinator for Fort Worth Moms.

Sheenia was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta area and moved to Dallas-Fort Worth after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Sheenia is married to her high school sweetheart, and they share a beautiful daughter together. She is a teacher turned homemaker, freelance writer, and the creator of the “Live Love & Blossom” lifestyle blog. When she’s not busy tending to her household or writing, she enjoys camping with her husband, watching cooking shows, and enjoying alone time in her car (because it’s quiet and peaceful). Suzy was born and raised in Arlington. She comes from a big family. As the oldest of six, Suzy has always been the mama bear to friends and family alike. She is happily married to her best friend of 10 years, and they have two young children, Aurora (2016) and Benjamin (2019). Suzy has been a youth services librarian for 10 years, seven of those years were spent in College Station, but she is now back in the metroplex at the Grapevine Public Library. Her husband, who is her hero, is a firefighter/paramedic. Suzy is always up for a new adventure when not busy juggling work life and wife/mom life. She is a lover of good coffee, curling up in a comfy spot with a good book, watching re-runs of Friends, lifting weights, baking, and trying new food around the metroplex.

Veda Arias was born and raised in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch area of Dallas and currently resides in her hometown with her husband and twin daughters. She earned her bachelors of arts degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas and her masters of science in mental health counseling from Texas Woman's University. Veda is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor. After many years in community mental health, she opened her private practice in Dallas in 2017.
