Here are two things I’m always thinking about re: my kids and their education. First, I want them to get a great foundation in math and science. No one in this country has any math or tech skills anymore, according to every article ever. And second, since my kids are just now embarking on their school journeys, I think about ways I can provide additional enrichment for them outside of class.
In a stroke of parenting luck, this invitation to a Sneak Peek at Children’s Learning Adventure lands in my lap yesterday. This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I’m talking about. This Saturday, July 15 from 1oam to 1pm, come to an open house near you and get your kids set for Fall 2017. Some context if you aren’t familiar: Children’s Learning Adventure is a family-owned industry leader in early childhood education. They offer educational programs for ages six weeks to twelve years, which means they cover everything – infant and toddler daycare; preschool and pre-K; Kindergarten; an after school program for elementary kids; and even extracurricular classes in all sorts of fun categories. It’s childcare + a stimulating learning environment, which is always the ultimate goal whenever your kids aren’t with you.
The best part, for me, is that all of their programs ensure daily exposure to STEAM-based topics: science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics. So, for example, kids learn about the laws of motion in their homeroom and then go apply those concepts in the science center. Did you see these pics? The bowling alley? Indoor basketball court? Can we also live here?
