This Nursery Belongs to: Tripp
Location: Dallas, TX
What was your inspiration for this room?ย ย We wanted to create a fun masculine room that Tripp could grow into. The idea was to keep most of it crisp and clean while having fun with some whimsy and touches of red.
What did you do first to the room? The first thing I found was the Glenna Jean Dot Fabric. I loved the whimsy of the polka dot, masculine colors, and the bright red.
Where did you start? Once the fabric arrived, we got started matching paint colors.
What is one thing you are most proud of in this room? I love how the alphabet wall came together. It was the “splurge” in this budget friendly nursery and it was worth it.
What was one of the biggest challenges you faced while decorating?ย Furniture placement. Nursery furniture goes along the borders of the room, that is just necessary. It can make it difficult to plan the space though. Also, the window is not centered in the room, so we had to play a trick with the drapery panels.
Were you working with a budget when designing the room? If so, would you mind sharing what it was? We did not set a budget before starting the room, but tried to keep costs as low as possible. The whole project was completed for around $1250.
