Dallas is growing and so is our team! One of the unique aspects of Dallas Moms Blog is our ability to continually add fresh faces and new voices to represent our ever-growing city. This past January we held an open call for new writers. With over 135 applications, our team had the toughest decision of narrowing it down to 10.
It’s with great excitement that we can now introduce them to you!
Throughout the weekend you’ll get a glimpse at the newest faces of Dallas Moms Blog before they officially get started on March 1st. We introduced you to 3 on Friday and 4 more yesterday. Today we meet our final four through a few fun & personal questions. . .

Meet Christina
Christina is originally from Louisiana but grew up in Richardson, and considers herself a Cajun Texan. She left Dallas temporarily to attend school at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘em!), where she met her husband Steven. They recently left the Lake Highlands city life for suburban bliss in Plano with their two kids – mini-Superhero Beckett (3) and Queen Ellis (7 months). She works in digital marketing at an agency in Dallas, and loves documenting her journey as a mom on her blog, Project Domestic. When not sleep deprived, you’ll find her reading, eating, furniture shopping and Netflixing.
You currently live in what suburb? Plano
What’s your Go-To Restaurant with Kids: Breadwinner’s
During a Cowboys Game, We’ll Find You: Wrangling children in the background while glancing at the TV as husband watches
What do you find is the most difficult thing about being a mom? Since we’re still adjusting to having a second child, it’s been hard to stay present and not get frustrated (and exhausted) with the little things. Time management and staying upbeat and positive are things that I have to work at daily.
. . . the most rewarding? Everything else! Watching our kids develop, grow, and become little people is the most amazing and rewarding experience.

Meet Natalie
Natalie was born and raised in Dallas, went to Georgetown and spent her college years in DC, then lived in New York and LA as an actor and later in production. She and her husband decided to come back to Dallas to be close to family when she was 32 weeks pregnant…with twins! It’s a good thing too, since her life took some pretty dramatic turns. After living through a long list of difficult health problems, she accidentally founded a non-profit organization, Mommies In Need (www.mommiesinneed.org), which provides free childcare to stay-at-home parents temporarily disabled by illness or injury. She is now a mommy to twin 4-year-old girls, wife to an amazing husband, President of Mommies In Need, and cancer survivor. You can read more about her adventures at www.mysupercrazylife.com.

Meet Lisa
I’m a PR gal living in Dallas with my husband of 6 years and our newest addition, Cohen (10/2015). I took a year off after graduating from the University of North Texas to teach English at an orphanage in Mexico and now work for the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. We’ve spent the past year renovating our home and continue to find a new projects as soon as we’ve completed one. Thank you, Pinterest! I’m a strong believer in Jesus, grace, and dessert after every meal. You can find me doing yoga, spending time with my large family, trying new local foodie spots and traveling as often as possible.
Family Members Include (ages of children): Casey (the daddy), Cohen (4 months)

You currently live in what suburb? Sparkman Club Estates, Dallas
What’s your Go-To Restaurant with Kids: Anywhere! We love trying new places. Fortunately, our son is a mini foodie in the making and content to come along for the ride wherever we go.
During a Cowboys Game, We’ll Find You: Watching the game with friends and family
What do you find is the most difficult thing about being a mom? . . . the most rewarding? The most difficult thing about being a (new) mom is the lack of sleep and being away from him during the day while I’m at work. The most rewarding thing is hearing him laugh. When I see that gummy smile, my heart bursts into a thousand tiny pieces and I know without a doubt it’s worth all the sleepless nights.
What do you enjoy most about being a mom in Dallas? There is so much to do in Dallas! When my son gets older, I can’t wait to take him to all the parks, museums, zoo, arboretum… The list goes on and on. I grew up here so I can’t wait to show him to all the places I loved as a child.

Meet Katy
What’s your Go-To Restaurant with Kids: Love the food, beer and atmosphere at Good Friend Beer Garden & Burger House. Also, Torchy’s feels a bit like Austin and Harlow is already a big fan.
During a Cowboys Game, We’ll Find You: After last season, trying to console Judy and teach Harlow that some words are only allowed to be yelled at the TV during football season.
What do you find is the most difficult thing about being a mom? . . . the most rewarding? The most difficult thing is learning to live without my previously cherished alone time. I could list a million rewarding parts about being Harlow’s mom, but one of my favorites is when she falls asleep in my arms and gets all heavy and mushy and lets loose that big sigh that means she surrenders.
What do you enjoy most about being a mom in the Dallas? There’s so much to explore and I think the city is pretty easy to navigate.
