Dallas is growing and so is our team! One of the unique aspects of Dallas Moms Blog is our ability to continually add fresh faces and new voices to represent our ever-growing city. This past January we held an open call for new writers. With over 135 applications, our team had the toughest decision of narrowing it down to 10.
It’s with great excitement that we can now introduce them to you!
Throughout the weekend you’ll get a glimpse at the newest faces of Dallas Moms Blog before they officially get started on March 1st. Yesterday, we introduced three, and today we meet four more through a few fun & personal questions. . .
* * * *
Meet Sarah
Sarah and her husband Brandt live in Dallas and have 3 boys that are 3, 2 and almost 1! She is a RN and works from home for an aesthetic laser company. In her “spare” time she and a friend/neighbor have started a business called All Out Celebrations. In this new venture she started blogging and realized how much she loves to write, make people laugh and help fellow moms with everything from baby care to maintaining your sanity with toddlers. She may look familiar?? If so that’s because she won season 7 of The Bachelor years ago!

What’s your Go-To Restaurant with Kids: Village burger bar
What do you find is the most difficult thing about being a mom? . . . the most rewarding? Most difficult: Mom guilt. For any and all reasons. 3 kids under 3, working mom, you always feel guilty about something. Most rewarding: watching my boys and knowing that I have given them the best gift they will ever have. Brothers. They are so close in age and it is hard as hell at times but watching them together is simply the most rewarding thing in my life.
What do you enjoy most about being a mom in the Dallas? Well I don’t really know yet. With the 3 kids, restaurants scare me. We spend a lot of time at home, at friends houses, at our neighborhood park, and Tom Thumb. They are just now at the age where we can take them out. Or at least 2 of them. I will let you know as we start venturing out more 🙂 This sounds horrible but it is so true. We used to do things before the 3rd but now we can barely get 3 car seats in the car much less have them all at a public location.

Meet Jennifer
Jennifer is a native North Texan, and lives in Murphy with her husband and two daughters. Jennifer has over 15 years experience planning events, and also has a passion for real estate. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, planning girl’s nights out, and getting fabulous massages.
What’s your Go-To Restaurant with Kids: Chick-fil-A…duh! Or Spin in Richardson.
During a Cowboys Game, We’ll Find You: Not watching! I hope I don’t get my Texas card revoked for this but I could honestly care less about NFL football. A Dallas Stars is a completely different story though!
What do you find is the most difficult thing about being a mom? . . . the most rewarding? The most difficult thing about being a mom for me is practicing patience all.the.time. I will admit patience is not my strong suit, so having children has definitely magnified that for me. The most rewarding thing about being a mom is seeing the love my girls have for one another, and watching them master a new milestone or skill.
What do you enjoy most about being a mom in the Dallas? I love living in Dallas with my girls because there are so many fun things to do, and so many sweet mamas out there! One of my favorite spots in Dallas to bring my girls is the Children’s Garden at the Dallas Arboretum.

During a Cowboys Game, We’ll Find You: Watching a Saints game 🙂 I am from Northern CA, so it would be logical for me to be a 49ers fan. However, my husband made it clear f I married him, I marry the Saints… So, go Saints!
What do you find is the most difficult thing about being a mom? . . . the most rewarding? The most difficult part of being a mom is living far from family. The most rewarding has been finding a wonderful support system here in Dallas. The wonderful moms I have met make Dallas feel more like home than I ever thought possible.
What do you enjoy most about being a mom in the Dallas? I love how kid friendly the city is. Discovering places like The Lot and the Arboretum have been a lifesaver!
