Dallas Moms Blog was thrilled to provide this review of Little Pnuts in exchange for trying a one month box subscription. We’re excited to tell you more about this simple and unique business designed to make a parent’s life easier and a child’s life full of surprises.
If your experience with your second child has been anything like mine, then you know that the second baby (and I am sure subsequent children after that) get the shaft.
My firstborn had all new clothes, all new toys, and all organic food.
My second born? Not so much. {Matter of Fact: Pulled a goldfish out of my second babe’s mouth last week. Oops.}
I have to intentionally think about buying him new clothes, so that he has something other than hand-me-downs and garage sale clothes. New toys? Try the wooden blocks that brother bangs together or better yet…my hand — that’s his current favorite teether. And see the aforementioned above in regards to his food intake. He even – gasp! – had a bottle of formula last night because I was to beat to nurse or pump.
So imagine my delight when I found out there is a company that will send new toys specifically geared towards my son’s age straight to my front door!
Little Pnuts is a unique subscription toy company geared towards 0-6 year olds that sends Special Deliveries, eco-friendly, sustainable, natural & organic toys, to arrive on your Little Peanuts doorstep.
Their hope is to get children back into imagination, creativity and play. They want children to get up off the couch, step out from behind a computer, turn off the television, and find accomplishment in playtime.
And boy, did they accomplish that hope!
My second son, Ben, is 5 months old and just now getting to the interactive stage. I have struggled to find age appropriate toys that will engage him and provide something that he can teethe on. Most of the toys I have around the house just frustrate him. But the second I pulled the Djeco wooden key’s out of the box, he grabbed them from my hands! He moved them from hand to hand, watched the keys move around the rope and then promptly stuck them in his mouth.
We have carried those keys with us everywhere we have gone in the last week!
Plip-Plop Pond! has also been a favorite in my house for both my boys! Ben loves the colorful pictures on the pages and the fact that the book is completely indestructible delights him as it goes straight in his mouth. Seriously – the pages cannot be torn!
My 2 year old is also loving the book, because there are no words on it. He’ll pick it up and start making up conversations between the animals on the page – I love how it is fostering his creativity!
If you are stuck in a rut with your kids toys – whether it be for your first born or your fourth child – look no further than Little Pnuts.
Their desire is to provide families with the tools to disconnect from technology and engage with one another; to play with one another and in turn teach and learn from one another. In essence, to bring childhood back to the idea of “imagine.create.play.”
On top of all that, it is delivered straight to your doorstep, which means one less trip to Target that involves bribery with goldfish . . . What? Am I the only one?
