It’s time for Summer Camp
316 Counseling Center is thrilled to be hosting our first-ever summer camps! Our June camp is designed for children ages 5-7 and will be led by therapists and therapists-in-training. These therapeutic fun-filled camps will include special art projects, indoor/outdoor games, and activities to enhance self-regulation.
The session will run from Monday, June 20 to Friday, June 24th from 9 am-12 pm. The cost is $349 for the week and includes all snacks and supplies. However, we are currently running an “early bird” rate of $299 for participants who register before May 9th! Can’t wait to see you and your kids this summer! Thank you!
The second session is geared for ages 8-11 will run from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15th from 9 am-12 pm. The cost is $349 for the week and includes all snacks and supplies. Krista, Doherty Nutrition’s Pediatric Registered Dietitian, is from Chicago, Illinois where she was previously working at La Rabida Children’s Hospital. During this time, she developed a passion for working with children of all ages and medical complexities. Krista is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition as well as a Certified Lactation Counselor.
Krista has experience working with children and families who may struggle with nutrition complications associated with growth, prematurity, food allergies, breastfeeding difficulties, developmental delays, gastrointestinal issues, picky eating/problem feeding, as well as general guidelines for introducing solids and baby-led weaning.

Notre Dame School, recognizing that each person is created in the image of God, educates students with developmental disabilities and facilitates their integration into society. Notre Dame School serves students with developmental disabilities ages 6-21. The school has been in existence for over 50 years. We offer a curriculum that builds not only academics skills but independent living and social skills. The Garland Volleyball Association exists to provide opportunities for children in Garland, Texas, and surrounding cities to learn and enjoy the game of volleyball. Recreational leagues, clinics, and skills camps are offered throughout the year. GVA activities promote the development of skills and the ideals of good sportsmanship. Through these organized athletic activities, GVA will contribute to the growth and development of the sport of volleyball in the Garland area.
Until this year, the White Rock Market was held every other Saturday at Green Spot. But this year, we have made a change: Our Lakeside Market and White Rock have now combined. in 2016, the Lakeside Market will now be every Saturday at Lakeside Baptist Church – just a mile from the former Green Spot location – from March to December.

D-BAT was founded in 1998 and is considered by many to be one of the premier baseball and softball training organizations in the country. The original D-BAT facility was located in North Dallas (Addison) with two employees – Cade and Kyle Griffis. As a former collegiate and professional baseball player, Cade has a core belief that each player plays a different game and should be taught to maximize his or her talents to suit their game.
Matt Sturgis was a competitive cheerleader, college cheerleader, a member of American Cheerleaders Association Staff where he traveled teaching summer camps and was awarded Rookie of the Year in 1999. He has taught tumbling, cheerleading, and preschool gymnastics for fourteen years. Matt is USASF, USAG, First Aid, and CPR Certified.
Le’Son Ivory is a former All-star, college, and professional cheerleader and in those years of cheer, was selected to perform in the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Olympics, as well as winning All-American cheerleader for UCA and COA 3 consecutive years. Coach Lee is a former head instructor for Americheer and NCA. He is a national title winning coach and choreographer. Lee is USASF, First Aid, and CPR Certified.
