What to Know When You Attend a Texas Rangers Game with Kids
Baseball season is in full swing. If you’re thinking about going to a Rangers game with kids, here’s EVERYTHING you need to know.
Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse
Monday – Thursday
Beat the summer heat with featured films just for kids at participating Cinemark locations. Purchase tickets online or at the door for $1.75 per person, per movie. Snack packs are discounted $1 off during Clubhouse showtimes.
Concerts by the Lake

Bring a picnic dinner and hear tribute/cover bands at The Harbor Amphitheater in Rockwall overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard. The free concerts are family-friendly and take place 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Cotton Belt Route Excursion
Weekends
Visitors of all ages step back in time as they ride the Vintage Railroad from Grapevine to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Rides are 12:30 – 7:00 p.m. Tickets range from $18 – $72 per person.
Shakespeare in the Park

Celebrate 52 years of Shakespeare in the Park featuring scenes from The Odyssey, Twelfth Night, and Julius Caesar. Bring the family, grab your lawn chairs, and B.Y.O.B. Tickets start at $20 for general admission. Shows start at 7:45 p.m.

Explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) connections through app-guided walking tours of Klyde Warren Park. The free event is perfect for kids ages eight and up.

Free First Saturdays
The Nasher Sculpture Center features a rotating schedule of artsy things to see and do, including story time and treats for kids of all ages. This free event runs 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Safari Nights
The Dallas Zoo welcomes visitors of all ages to enjoy cover bands, extended zoo hours, kid-friendly activities, and one-of-a-kind animal encounters at 7:00 p.m. on the grove. Event activities are included with zoo admission.
Window to the Wild
The Dallas Arboretum invites guests of all ages to experience close-up glove encounters with wild birds 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Learn about the mechanics of flight and how birds navigate. Cost is included with garden admission or membership.
July 7
Bird Watching at Fair Park
Join birders from Trinity River Audobon Center for an hour-long walk at Leonhardt Lagoon at Fair Park. Visitors will learn about local birds and other bird facts beginning at 9:00 a.m. This free event is open to the public.
Free First Sundays: Access for All
No reservations required on first Sundays at the Dallas Museum of Art. Experience special exhibits at no cost from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. through December.

Wildlife in Carrollton Workshop
All ages can attend this informative workshop at Hebron Josey Library to learn how to live peacefully with wildlife in our community. Registration is required to this free event from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

High School Book Club
Talking Animal Books in Grapevine will host its free monthly book club for teens from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. July’s discussion will feature the novel The Giver, by Newbery award-winning author Lois Lowry.
Parker County Peach Festival
Celebrate 39 years of peaches in Historic Downtown Weatherford with arts, crafts, live entertainment, play areas, and a peach-themed food competition. Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for kids ages five – 12 and $10 for adults.

Tween Gametime: Mario Cart
Tweens ages nine – 12 are invited to the Richardson Public Library for an afternoon of gaming fun from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Storytime room. Admission is free.

Sam the Magic Man
An afternoon of visual magic and family-friendly comedy awaits you from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas. Admission is $19 for adults, $10 for kids ages four and older.

Moon Day
Frontiers of Flight Museum will host its 16th annual Moon Day showcasing the past, present, and future of space exploration with space-themed exhibits, activities, and presentations. Hours are 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for students and seniors and $20 for adults.
Teens: Sushi Basics
Central Market Cooking School in Dallas on Lovers Lane will teach teens ages 13 – 17 more advanced skills as they create their own sushi feast from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $95 per student.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
Witness thrilling acts, impossible performances, and daring acrobatic feats. The circus fun will take place at American Airlines Center over three days at various times. Tickets start at $31 per seat.

35th Texas Black Invitational Rodeo
Get on your cowboy gear and get on over to Fair Park Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. for a rodeo featuring bull riding, barrel racing, steer roping, and more. Tickets cost $19 to $40.
Parent & Child: Asian Dumplings
Central Market Cooking School in Dallas on Lovers Lane will host this hands-on culinary workshop from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. Parents and kids ages seven – 17 work in small teams to create and sample dumplings and sauces. Tickets are $85 per each attendee.

Wildlife on the Move Presents Wild for the World
