Whether you are an introvert or extrovert, we’re wired for connection. And one of the best ways to connect with your gal pals—over food (and maybe a beer or cocktail)—is at girls’ night out! I’ve been on a quest lately to build out my list of favorite locations for just those occasions. If you’re doing something impromptu or looking for a place to host a special occasion, here are a few spots to enjoy a great girls’ night out in Dallas. I’ve noted why you might pick these spots, but rest assured these are all tried and true. You can’t go wrong with any of them for your next GNO!

Eataly | Park Cities
I went to the Eataly location in Chicago years ago and could not wait for Dallas to open up one at NorthPark! They have multiple options for restaurants. They also have special events like cooking classes and floral arranging, so it’s perfect for special occasions with the girls like a shower or a milestone birthday.
When you need your Tex-Mex, errr margarita fix..
Mesero | Various locations in DFW
You knew I had to put something on here that stands alone for its margaritas, right? Obviously, we have plenty of Tex-Mex in Dallas—the frozen marg was even invented in our great city! The Size 2 margaritas at Mesero are going to make your crew really happy. If you want a good option for a patio, hit up the Prestonwood location.
When you want to support local…
Desert Racer | Lowest Greenville
Nick Badovinus nails it when it comes to his restaurant concepts, and Desert Racer is no exception. The beer list gives a nod to all our “locals only” with a strong selection from local breweries. But the cocktails are excellent, too. I’m a fan of the hibiscus agave highball. The fun décor, the beautiful patio, and all the motorcycles make for cute pictures to prove that you got out with the girls! (But mind the ‘No Trespassing’ signs!)
When your girls prefer brunch to a night out…
Yardbird | Uptown
Not all gatherings with the girls work out for an evening timeframe, so if you’re looking for a great brunch spot, consider Yardbird. I’m a fan of their crispy chicken biscuits and grits. You know it’s good if it’s a James Beard nominated restaurant. Come hungry, but they also have a ten-page beverage book that includes some great cocktails like the Southern Revival.
When your girl tribe lives all over the metroplex…
Ida Claire | Addison
There are lots of reasons to meet up at Ida Claire: the cocktails, the biscuits and OMG the Ding Dong Cake. But when your friends are coming from various spots, this place is central and off the Tollway, so not too far no matter where you live or work. If you are hosting something special for a group, the Airstream is a great option.
When you want a no fail spot…
Rise | Inwood Village
Dallasites can be fickle when it comes to restaurants. Those that stand the time are keepers! Rise has been a favorite of mine for years. I have wonderful memories of hosting all of my girls for my birthday a decade ago, along with celebrating engagements and baby showers for some of my favorite friends. The ambience is great. And the soufflés are amazing! My favorite is the lobster soufflé and the marshmallow soup. IYKYK.
When your girls have different dietary restrictions..
Legacy Hall | Legacy West
I went with a group of friends a week or so ago at their suggestion, my first time to try it. My vegetarian friend got a meatless sausage, my friend who needs a gluten free diet had sushi, I got ramen, and another friend got crêpes. They have plentiful indoor and outdoor seating, so many restaurants and bars, and entertainment. I suggest perusing the restaurant list before you go so you’re not overwhelmed. You can even sort by different dietary restrictions! I can’t wait to try Vinotopia next time.
An option for those of you in southern Dallas is The Exchange Hall, which just opened. Very similar concept.
When no one wants to dress up [and for gals who like beer]…
Vector Brewing | Lake Highlands
My family has been enjoying their pizza since July of last year when they opened in the middle of the pandemic. At first, they were just doing carry-out pizzas but now that they’re fully opened, we love the fantastic patio, amazing specialty pizzas, and locally brewed beer, not to mention the robust wine list. It’s a great “come as you are” atmosphere and a good option for when you just want to show up in shorts and a T-shirt. It’s a favorite for local moms in East Dallas. And even if you aren’t dressed up, Vector has a great photo opportunity in front of its patio murals. Let’s be real, GNO doesn’t happen as often as most of us would like, so capturing that time with friends is important!
When one of the girls is sober or pregnant or nursing…
Paradiso | Bishop Arts District
Paradiso’s garden setting is fabulous, and the menu is mouth-watering, but who doesn’t feel seen when a restaurant has mocktails on the menu?! How many of you weren’t ready to spill the beans yet and wanted to order something fun to enjoy on a girls’ night out without making it awkward—they’ve got you covered with the Silent Dove and Flight of the Bees. Not to mention Paradiso is super close to Emporium Pies, which is a destination in and of itself for dessert to close out the night!
