Spring Break is coming up fast, and you might be starting to second-guess that decision to have the kids chill at home all week. Stir-craziness is real, y’all, and the only cure is getting out of the house!
Fortunately, Texas Discovery Gardens is doing a come-and-go week of fun with different crafts and cool nature experiences every day between March 13-17, 2017 from 11:00am to 3:30pm. Problem solved!
Spring Break Safari Week at Texas Discovery Gardens – Fair Park activities are FREE with garden admission ($8 adults/$4 kids 3-11/$6 age 60+) and geared toward all ages. And don’t forget that every Tuesday is “Pay-What-You-Wish” admission.
Get outside, have fun, and learn a little something in the process. That pretty much checks all the boxes, doesn’t it? And the flexibility that comes with come-and-go events? We’re there.
There will also be ongoing craft opportunities available every day. Here’s a little breakdown of what’s going on each day, so you can make your plans:
11 am :: nature walks or outdoor activities
Noon :: butterfly release talk in the Butterfly House
1 pm :: active games
2 pm :: two story times (one for pre-school, one for elementary aged kids)
3 pm :: animal meet-and-greets!
And the great news? There’s no need to pre-register for Safari Week, whew! So as Spring Break draws near, find a day that works for you to bring your family over to Texas Discovery Gardens! For more information, visit Texas Discovery Gardens website for directions and details.
Does your child’s Spring Break fall on a different week?
You can still make room in your week for Stories and More! on March 2 at 11:00am. The First Thursday of the month, children can enjoy a themed storytime with crafts and snacks; immediately followed by the Noon Butterfly Release! They do ask that you register in advance for Stories And More, but tickets are included with your general admission. Secure your storytime spot here!
