Summer means, lazy mornings, PJ’s til noon, and going where the day takes you. Although a change of pace is usually welcomed by parents AND kids, after about two weeks everyone is ready to get out of the house and have some fun!
It’s for this reason Dallas Mom’s Blog continued our annual playscape tour tradition. We decided to super size our tour this year, and jam packed the summer with SEVEN amazing venues!
We kicked our tour off at a brand new venue called
Plai Place.
Plai Place specializes in hands on art experiences, and this playdate was no different. We had kiddos of all ages join us, so when everyone heard the activity we would be making slime that day, they were more than pleased! The kids had such a great time, and it was the perfect mix of messy and creative! Bonus: Parents didn’t have to clean up the mess!
Plai Place was the perfect place to kick off our tour, and we’d highly recommend them if you have a child who liked to channel their inner artist!
Next stop on our tour was at our long time friend’s gym,
Gymboree Dallas.
Gymboree never disappoints, and really caters to all ages with their family style classes. It’s quite a challenge to engage children ages 0-5, but they manage to do it well each and every time! The kids had a chance to get some of that never ending energy out in the gym, as well as dance and sing to
Gymboree’s signature soundtrack of songs.
Gymboree always does such an excellent job of making everyone feel so welcome! If you’ve never attended one of their free trial classes with your little one we highly recommend it!
Third stop was at the
Sense-Able Gym in Garland. It was so nice to come to a playscape where you truly can let your child (of any age) play freely without having to worry about them possibly getting hurt. Everything in their gym is safe and completely kid friendly! There were three different rooms for the children to explore, so the kids were completely entertained the entire time! I think the hit at
Sense-Able Gym was a tie between the indoor swing, or the indoor ball pit. So fun!
Fourth on our list was
Jungle Joe’s in Frisco. If you’re looking for an enclosed playscape to let your kiddos run free while you enjoy a (hot) cup of coffee or hammer out some work this is it!
Jungle Joe’s even have a specified area for little ones! This is the perfect place to plan a playdate too! The kids can play, and moms can actually carry on a real life conversation. The kids had a blast running around until their heart’s content, and the moms left refreshed after a getting a break from being the summer entertainment!
Our fifth venue was another Dallas Moms Blog favorite,
Polka Dot Party + Play, in Allen. This super cute venue is the perfect place for make believe with three different themed playhouses, complete with dress up clothes and props! They also have a playscape for those with a little more energy, a craft area, and a play campfire setting for their littlest visitors.
Polka Dot is a favorite amongst everyone in my family. My kids always leave happy, and I always leave caffeinated thanks to their complimentary coffee bar! Winning!
Our second to last stop on the tour was
Whole Foods at Cityline, in Richardson. We love partnering with
Whole Foods for many of our family events, but this time we were so excited to join them for a private Whole Kids activity and snack time!
Whole Foods pulled out all the stops with coloring sheets and an adorable pipe cleaner craft that everyone enjoyed! Attending their Whole Kids events is the perfect way to entertain the kiddos then sneak in a little grocery shopping on your way out. A win-win in our opinion!
And last but not least, our seventh stop was at the
Geo-Deck at Reunion Tower. Everyone who attended was ushered upstairs by a very friendly and knowledgeable elevator concierge, who could tell you anything you want to know about the Dallas skyline. Once we arrived on the
Geo-Deck we were greeting with a jam packed morning of story time and songs compliments of the
Dallas Public Library. Visiting the
Geo-Deck was a great way to get everyone out of the house, and give the kids an exciting view of this great city we live in!
The summer was an absolute whirlwind, and it was so nice to have some help keeping the kids entertained! Of course we could not have hosted such a successful playscape series without the help of our fabulous sponsors!
A huge thank you to
Serving Life Chiropractic and
Pearachute for allowing us to connect area families to some new playscapes, and help everyone beat the summer heat! Also, thank you to our snack sponsor
Happy Family Brands who graciously supplied all the snacks for each of our playdates. We all know snacks are life with little ones, and we couldn’t have done it without you!
Also, thank you to all the families who attended our playdates this year! We had so much fun, and look forward to seeing each of you again at a future event. Didn’t make it to a playdate? Be sure to keep an eye out for some of our favorite annual family events this fall, including Breakfast With Santa! See you soon!
