Safeway Teams Up with ExxonMobil + $50 Giveaway

Hey Moms! You know all those Reward Points you’ve been accruing from Tom Thumb or Randall’s? You can now put them to good use!

IMG_20131008_102839Safeway (aka our Tom Thumb/Randall stores) can now be used at participating ExxonMobil gas stations! You no longer have to go in search of those few Tom Thumb gas stations around your neighborhood and feel like you’re throwing good points –$$– away each month.

Simply look for the nearest ExxonMobil (usually near a Tom Thumb) and swipe your rewards card prior to payment. Depending upon how many rewards points you have, you could be saving up to $1 PER gallon

Don’t have a Safeway Rewards?

Signing up is simple!

You can go online and register on Safeway.com. If you’re already headed to the store, simply have the cashier sign you up for their Club Card. You can also avoid the register by heading to their customer service department where tablets are usually set up to help you with easy registration. There’s no membership fees or payment required to join. Just know your name, address, phone number and email, and you’re all set!

For every $1 you spend on groceries and pharmacy items, you’ll earn 1 point. If you’re purchasing qualifying gift cards, you can earn up to 2 points per $1. When you reach a 100 points (which for most of us is a single grocery store trip), you earn $0.10 off per gallon, 200 points is $0.20 off per gallon, 500 points is $0.50 off per gallon, and 1,000 points is $1 off per gallon.

I’m not sure about you, but this could easily be a $20 savings at the pump for my minivan, and all I had to do was make my routine grocery store trips for the month!

Want to get started earning those points?

Safeway is providing one of our readers with a $50 gift card to any local Tom Thumb or Randall’s store you choose to shop at!

Enter the giveaway below, and we’ll choose 1 winner on Friday, October 18th at noon.

Good luck, and we hope this helps your wallet at the pump!

Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
