CHILDREN AT RISK is a non-profit organization that drives change for children through research, education and influencing public policy.

This year’s Children’s Summit will focus on the importance of play in parenting and early education in the first 5 years of a child’s life. Bring a friend and join Event Chair, Calvert Collins-Bratton in exploring ways to incorporate play into a child’s life through interactive workshops and experiential learning exercises throughout the day. This event is perfect for new moms, who are looking for ways to combine play and education into their home for a more well-rounded child.

Some of the interactive workshop topics include:

  • Public v Private: A discussion about Early Education Options for My Child
  • Understanding what you say and how you say it. Momentous Institute
  • Kids Weren’t Made to Sit Indoors: The Importance of an Active Lifestyle and Positive Food Choices. CHILDREN AT RISK
  • Read, Write, Draw: Making the best use of Books, Crayons and Paper. Dallas Public Library
  • Interactive Workshop or Physical Activity with Go Noodle
  • Teach Manners, Movement & Memorable songs. Develop Me From A to Z!

This event would normally cost $50 a ticket, but thanks to a generous donor, you can now attend for only $15. Breakfast and lunch are included, as well as a swag bag as you leave.

Don’t miss the chance to hear from expert panelists: Parents as Teachers, The Perot Museum, IStation, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, American Heart Association, Early Childhood Intervention, and more!
