While you’re busy baking away this holiday season, don’t forget that National Cupcake Day is December 15! Luckily, Dallas has tons of cupcake options to help us celebrate. Sweetface Sugar Shoppe & Bakery • Royse City
This hometown favorite has been catering to residents’ sugary cravings since 2004. The storefront is located right on Main Street in downtown Royse City, and it stays busy! They offer cupcake flavors from traditional chocolate and vanilla to strawberry lemonade, German chocolate, and birthday cake. You can walk in any day and pick up treats, or call ahead for special orders. Cupcakes start at $3 each.
Blondies Cakery • Sachse
I might be a little biased about this shop because Blondies is our go-to for desserts when we need them: birthdays, parties, even our wedding cake! Shelby runs this private bakery from her home in Sachse and stays booked year-round, so get your orders in early! Contact for pricing and pickup. Cupcakes start at $15 a dozen depending on flavor.
Say it with Sugar • Wylie
The sign out front reads “Keeping Wylie Sweet” and it is absolutely right! Open since 2010, Say it with Sugar comes highly recommended, with red velvet cupcakes at the top of the list. Depending on the season, they have close to 100 rotating flavors to choose from. Custom orders must be placed in a week in advance. Cupcakes start at $3.75 each.
Sugar Ray’s Bake Shop • Plano
Baking for eight years, this shop has been voted Best Cupcakes in North Texas and been featured on The Cooking Channel and Netflix—and I can see why! With flavors ranging from s’mores to lemon to gingerbread, everyone is guaranteed to find a cupcake they love! Call ahead or order online for special orders. Cupcakes start at $3.50 each.
Society Bakery • Dallas
This iconic bakery has been wowing Dallas residents since 2003 with yummy cupcakes, cakes, cookies and more. Their treats have been featured on The Ellen Show and Food Network, just to name a few. We have enjoyed so many birthday celebrations with these cupcakes and cakes! Their online ordering system is impeccable and makes the process simple. Cupcakes start at $4.25 each.
