Last week, Dallas Moms Blog & City Moms Blog Network teamed up for the first time with Dishcrawl for a Mommy Foodie Fair event. We truly can’t thank enough the over 75 moms who attended and chose to spend your evening with us. As mamas ourselves, we always love the opportunity to get to know our readers a little more, socialize with some new ladies. . .and who doesn’t love the chance to get a little dressed up?!
Here’s a few highlights from the event:
We loved having some locally owned businesses participating at our Mommy Foodie Fair!
Spa La La Dallas (Alpha & Dallas North Tollway) provided complimentary massages and make-up tutorials for our moms. They also provided several giveaways including moms’ choice of free eyelash extensions or a chemical peel. Socialite Pink setup a boutique shopping experience to showcase and sell some of her fabulous jewelry; including fashionable necklaces, bracelets, and earring sets.
We also loved having Jamberry Nails independent consultant Christina Mei on hand with the latest nail styles for the summer!
Moms were able to sample some of the what Fogo de Chao in Addison has to offer like their prosciutto and cheese sampler plates, shrimp cocktail platters, spinach and artichoke dip, and a variety of other appetizers including our favorite pão de queijo (a warm cheese bread). They also created a “Happy Hour” drink menu to allow moms to sample a few of their themed specialty cocktails.
And Val’s Cheesecakes cured out sweet tooth with their incredible cheesecake balls with flavors like Sprinkles, Lemon Poppy Seed, and Peanut Butter Cup.
While most aspects of this event were very different from our typical DMB Moms Night Out’s, in keeping with tradition, each mom left with an incredible swag bag of sample products and brands that included: Harvest Snaps, Beanfields, Amoretti, NewTree, Skinny Pop, Pick Your Plum, MAM, Glam Media Foodie Books, Kathleen’s,Kleenhanz, Pirate’s Booty, Grub Burger Bar, Sahale Snacks, Jamberry Nails, Butterfield Gourmet, Revolution Foods, and Greenling DFW.
And a few lucky moms even walked away with giveaways from Chef Milton’s Gourmet Salts, Greenling DFW, Chuy’s, Mom’s Night Out: The Motion Picture, Revolution Foods, and our vendors Socialite Pink, Jamberry Nails, and Spa La La!
Again, we want to thank all the moms who came out and spent the evening with us! We also sincerely appreciate all of you who took the time to respond to Dishcrawl’s survey regarding your thoughts on the event, and we’re currently using your feedback to help make decisions on how to handle future events going forward.
Make sure to visit our Facebook page for more photos from the event!
