I think we can all agree that moms do not take enough time for themselves.
As a mom of 3 boys all under the age of 5, I recently come out of the baby fog and realized I haven’t spent longer than 4 hours without a child attached to me in the last 8 months. On top of that, I can count on one hand the number of nights I’ve had 7+ hours of sleep in the last 12 months. From pregnancy straight on into the “baby stage”, my body has taken a toll and each day I feel it. My shoulders are tight, my feet hurt, and I no longer have dark circles under my eyes…the darkness just wraps completely around!
Between juggling work during naptimes and being a 24/7 referee to end serious fights on who had the blue light saber first, there’s just no downtime for myself. If I’m lucky, I might pour myself a glass of wine after bedtime and watch a few of my favorite shows before crashing in front of my laptop.
While moms are often faced with feelings of being alone, this is one area I know we all share the same sentiments! Moms just do not take enough time for ourselves.

Spavia was ready and welcoming when our team arrived –which handling 18 women walking through your door at the same time is impressive! After checking in, we were given a tour of their facilities. Both men and women are taken through to the separate dressing areas where there are lockers, bathrooms, and a shower for after.
Upon entry, you’re invited to change into their very comfortable robes, slip on their spa shoes, and move into the private retreat room until your appointment is ready. Normally men and women are separated into their own retreat room for privacy, but Spavia’s able to open up the rooms for private events which made it so much more enjoyable for our night out!
We were offered hot tea, sweets, and even a warm, lavender neck wrap while we waited. But this wasn’t just special service for our team. Their luxury amenities are standard with each appointment.
The massages, foot and hand treatments, and facials were all completely customized to preference. We were able to select the type of music playing, the type of scent used in the room, and the amount of pressure used. While I typically go for a massage (because that’s always most needed) I wanted to venture out and try something a little different to see how a normally high-priced service would compare at an affordably-priced Day Spa.
I selected the Island Bliss Hand and Island Bliss Foot Treatments and was not disappointed!
The overall experience was one I’d expect at a luxurious day spa where you’ll pay several hundred dollars before getting through the door, but Spavia Day Spa was so much more affordable for my budget.
