Looking to make a little extra money?

When I began my career as a stay-at-home mom, I couldn’t wait for the life that was ahead of me.  My son was born two days after my last day of school, as I was a third grade teacher.  Good timing, right? 🙂

I knew that it would be hard for us to live on one income, but it didn’t really hit me until after the summer was over and that first month came without a paycheck.  I loved spending my days with my new son but there was a part of me that missed having my own money.  I started looking for every single way to make a little bit here and there.  One of the things I found seemed a little too good to be true!

There are many market research companies in Dallas who are looking for moms just like you and me to give them our opinions and girls, it is EASY money!  Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

Over the past two and a half years, I have qualified for several research opportunities and everytime I leave with an average of $100.  Sometimes I think to myself, “Wow, that was the easiest money I’ve ever made.  I better run to my car before they come try to take it away from me.”

I just recently finished an online hair study with my step-daughter that paid $100 just for submitting a couple of videos that explained her hair process and how she learned to take care of her hair.  We even got a free little video camera out of the project.  I’ve also participated in diaper studies where diapers were provided for about 2-3 weeks and as I turned in the used diapers, I made a little over $100.  My favorite projects are the ones that involve trying new food and giving my opinion on a future flavor, such as chips or dips.

The most memorable project I have participated in was with a crew of four people who came to my home and learned about my grocery buying habits.  We even went as a group to Wal-Mart and discussed things, on camera, I would buy or wouldn’t buy and why.  I made $200 for that study and it was FUN!

It may not seem like a lot of money when you are used to bringing in a monthly income, but when you get tired of feeling guilty for wanting to buy yourself a new pair of boots or jeans, you won’t have to worry about asking your husband if it’s ok to spend money on those things.

If this is something you might be interested in, it’s very easy to get signed up to be in the database of these different companies.  They will send you an email every so often about a project they are working on and you take an online survey.  If you qualify for the study, based on your answers from the online survey, you will get a phone call from a representative who will ask a couple of more questions to get you qualified and set up.  It really is a very easy process that takes very little time.

I have participated in studies from each of these companies and have yet to have a bad experience.
