On September 29th members of the U.S. Olympics Gymnastics Team will perform right here in Dallas at the American Airlines Center. I can’t wait to bring my girls and cheer on these amazing athletes after their hard work in Rio!
I have vivid memories of watching the gymnasts in the 1992 Summer Olympics. My best friend’s mom recorded it on a VHS tape so we could spend hours memorizing Kerri Strug’s balance beam routine (the few parts we could do, of course!).
Fast forward 20 something years and I’m tickled that my three girls will get to do the same during the 2016 Summer Olympics, rooting for soon-to-be role models like Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman. What a thrill for me to be able to surprise them with tickets to see these incredible athletes in Dallas just a few short weeks after the Olympics.
The Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions will feature three-time World All-Around Champion and Texas native, Simone Biles, 2012 Olympic team member and All-Around Champion, Gabby Douglas, 2012 Olympic Champion Jordyn Wieber, 2012 Olympics team member and floor champion, Aly Raisman, Dallas-native and 2008 Olympic Champion, Nastia Liukin, and more members of the 2016 Olympics team. Local gymnasts from around Dallas are expected to join this amazing ensemble of gymnasts.
This would be a fantastic motivational event for your daughter’s girl scout group or cheerleading squad. And local gymnastics clubs can receive a group ticket discount. There are also a limited number of VIP passes that include a Nastia Liukin “Chalk Talk,” a meet and greet with some of the gymnasts, seats in the front few rows, and a post-show autograph session.
Doors open at 6 pm on September 29th and the show begins at 7:30 pm.
