I love an outdoor movie night! There’s something magical about gathering with friends and hanging outside to watch a movie on the semi-big screen. My daughter is also obsessed with outdoor movies.
We watched and loved Disney’s Zombies and Zombies 2 and have been impatiently waiting for Zombies 3. It came out July 15, and we used it as an excuse to host a backyard movie night. We invited friends to swim for about an hour, then we’d screen the movie.
You don’t need much! Just three simple things for a successful movie night:
A Good Movie
Everyone Maggie Lynn knows was excited about the movie finally premiering. It streams on Disney Plus, making it easily accessible for movie night.
A Good Audience
The girls we invited were all so excited to see the movie! We had 10 girls come out to watch. They were a sweet group, and we had the best time.
Snacks
Of course, you need popcorn. Lots and lots of popcorn. We also made blue slushies. (The aliens wore blue! You know I love a good theme). I went to the dollar store and got these popcorn tubs and the baskets. It made everything portable and easy to handle. We also grabbed all the cute movie theater candies from the dollar store. I purchased a sampling, and it was perfect!
That’s all you need! Now, we used our projector and screen, but you can always gather in the living room or the media room and watch it.
After the movie was over, Maggie Lynn said we should do this all the time. I’d say it was a success!
