Holiday Gift Idea: Radio Flyer’s Ziggle

The holidays are approaching! Recently, Dallas Moms Blog was approached by Radio Flyer to review their new Ziggle Ride-On. No money was exchanged for this post; however, Bethany was allowed to keep the Ziggle after she used the ride-on for the purpose of this review. Affiliate links are used in this post, and all opinions in this post are 100% her own!

Our neighborhood is a “front yard” kind of place.  Most sunny afternoons, children can be found running from yard to yard across the block.  There are a number of outdoor riding vehicles and bicycles scattered all over everyone’s sidewalks which is perfect for our family.

We don’t have a lot of indoor toys at our home.  I’ve always found my preschooler to quickly grow bored of indoor toys.  But, my goodness!  We have gobs of outdoor riding vehicles. You name it, we probably have it!  You might even say I’m in-the-know on all the latest and greatest outdoor toys.

A few of favorites that I can highly recommend are the Mini Kick Scooter, Chicco Balance Training Bike, and the PlasmaCar.

When I was approached by Radio Flyer to test out their new Ziggle Ride On, I knew they had found the perfect test subject for their latest product.

My son may still be on the young side at 2.5 yrs, but >> watch this video. <<

As you can see, he quickly mastered the back and forth concept of wiggling the handle bars and pedals to make the Ziggle soar forward.

Our twin 4-yr-old neighbors (who are more within the recommended age group of 3 to 8 years) quickly and skillfully learned to make the Ziggle go really fast (much faster than the video).

Kids can also get the Ziggle to go in a crazy 360-degree motion once the toy really gets moving through the help of its 4 caster wheels.  (Full confession: Although it’s only meant to support up to 81 pounds, my adult body tried it out and it WAS pretty fun!)

If you are looking for a new and different ride-on toy idea for this year’s holiday list, I whole-heartedly recommend the Ziggle.  It retails for $49.99, and it’s one of those toys that will grow with kids as it has an adjustable seat and will last for years- from sibling to sibling- as it’s built on the solid steel frame you’ve come to know and trust from Radio Flyer. It’s great for the younger preschool ages who merely like to move around on wheels. Then for the older set, the Ziggle Ride-On has a lot of adventure and daredevil potential.

Another note: For families with multiple kids, this would be a great family gift!  Just get ready to referee the “turn-taking”!

**As mentioned, Radio Flyer gave me a Ziggle to test out. No monetary compensation was received for this post. The opinions are 100% mine.
