Part of what we desire to do at Dallas Moms Blog is to create a community for moms. One way we do so is hosting frequent events where we can get together in real life and have a great time. We are looking for events team volunteer members & Neighborhood Group Mombassadors to help make these events amazing!
VOLUNTEER :: Become an Events Team Member!
Do you love attending our events and sharing the excitement with your friends? WE WANT YOU! We are looking for dedicated readers who will help promote and work behind-the-scenes to create events that moms won’t want to miss! We’ve built a fun team here at Dallas Moms Blog, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

Time Commitment:
Each event’s time commitment will vary due to the complexity and will be clearly communicated prior to planning.
Compensation:
This is not a paid position, but you (and your immediate family if applicable) will receive free admission to the events you are helping with, as well as swag when possible! Perks will vary with each event, but your hard work and enthusiasm will not be overlooked!
Position Summary:
- Be available to help with one event every three months (or so)
- Share our events with your friends (online and in real life!) to help generate excitement
- Be available the week before the event to help with any final event preparations
- Be available the day of the event to help coordinate and facilitate the event
- Respond to emails in a timely manner (within 48 hours)
- Represent Dallas Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times including social media presence
VOLUNTEER :: Become a Neighborhood Group Mombassador!
Are you looking for a unique way to engage with your Neighborhood? Do you love coming up with fun outings like playground playdates, picnics, walking clubs, and museum meet ups but are looking for a group to join you? Then we have a role for you!
A Mombassador for Dallas Moms Blog Neighborhood Groups is someone who is outgoing, friendly, and familiar with the neighborhoods in her group. Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and a passion for connecting with other moms, as well as a passion for the Dallas metroplex and the surrounding communities.
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/month
Summary of Role:
- Find events in your community & arrange meetups using the Dallas Moms Blog Neighborhood Facebook Groups.
- Events should occur at either public parks or locations at which each participant pays their own way (i.e. DMB will not subsidize admission)
- We ask that there be a minimum of one event a month, ideally varying between weekdays and weekends (so that both SAHM and working moms have the opportunity to be involved)
- Mombassadors are not to solicit any local businesses on behalf of Dallas Moms Blog
- Respond to emails in a timely manner (within 48 hours)
- Represent Dallas Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times
Neighborhood Groups are guided by our DMB trained “Mombassadors”, who plan and post activities that are open to everyone! Our Mombassadors are experts in fun and creative playdates & activities in their respective areas! They’ve hosted everything from story time to family brunch to Karaoke Night, to craft time, to Fire Station tours! The list goes on and on! Neighborhood Groups and meetups have turned into many dear friendships, book clubs, and connections that otherwise would have been unknown!
Mombassadors are needed in the following general areas of town:
- McKinney/Allen/Frisco
- Dallas (Proper) Playgroup
- Garland/Sachse/Rowlett
- East Ray Hubbard
- Mesquite/Forney/Balch Springs
- Lewisville, Highland Village
- Richardson/ Plano/North Dallas
- Working Moms
Compensation:
While this role will be voluntary (as we have over 8 neighborhood groups), but there will be perks along the way!
