I LOVE pictures! I love taking them and I love having them framed all around our house. Unfortunately (at least for my husband), I feel like I get the itch to have our family’s picture taken every year! With little ones changing so fast, I feel like we need capture them all of the time!
But it’s definitely a balance…balancing how often my hubby is willing to take pictures (tell me it’s not just my hubby that hates pictures) and how often we can afford to pay a photographer. About a month ago we were lucky enough to spend a Saturday morning capturing pictures of our family, and I wanted to share! We met our friend Ryan (Ryan O’Dowd Photography) at a park in Allen ready to cheese it up. It ended up raining that morning, but we decided to just go with it because we had already set aside that Saturday (and finding another date just didn’t sound fun) and we were already up, dressed and ready to go.
Ya’ll, I honestly was amazed. I knew Ryan takes good pictures because he’d taken maternity and newborn pictures for my sister and her new little one. But since it ended up raining, I just wasn’t sure how many awesome shots we’d get since it was wet and just plain gross outside. But WOW! He worked his magic! Ryan has 2 little ones of his own, so he knew just how to interact with my little guy to get his smiles and personality to come out. He was super laid back and made it easy! We just let Tanner run around and play. Even having my 2 year-old tell him, “No more pictures!” didn’t throw him…he just laughed and kept shooting!

Hello my name is Khaleel I am a first time mom, my daughter Alina is now 4 months old and we are in dire need of family protos. We did not get the opportunity to take pictures at the hospital when she was born. I feel like she is growing up so fast and I really would love to capture this moment while she is still small. The only pictures I have of her are in my phone. I would love to have the opportunity to have someone take beautiful pictures of my unique family.

WE NEED FAMILY PHOTOS! We had a baby girl, Annie, just over a year ago. We had planned a natural birth, but after a 27 hour labor ended up in an emergency c-section. This completely threw us for a loop both emotionally and financially, having just finished paying off medical bills from a surgery the year before. A friend of ours was gracious enough to do our newborn shots free of charge, but with the extra unforseen hospital costs following my surgery, we have had to scale our budget waaay back and have never been able to have professional photos done of our family since. Annie is over a year now and is changing SO much. It would mean the world to us to be able to have these photos done!
