Hands-on learning experiences in the areas of math, science, social studies, technology, foreign language and performing arts are only part of what makes the learning experience here so unique. Our students develop a love for learning and service.
We integrate service learning into our curriculum because it speaks to the “and” in our name. We are a school AND a Community Center that believes we must be a part of the community our campus resides in. We are a LIVE virtual program working to meet the needs of families with children ages 0-5 years. You can explore our classes with our VESS Curriculum – approved by the Florida School Readiness Program and recognized worldwide for its evidence-based approach to the development of the whole child. Our online program provides children 0-5 years old with the richest and most wholesome early learning experience at home. Our professional educators have developed a complete experience-based program that targets all academic areas to get children feeling ready and excited about kindergarten, while having in mind that life goes way beyond academics and should also nurture life-long love for learning, independence and an array of Thinking Skills. Literacy, math and science, are all targeted. We are confident that children learn best through fun, hands-on, minds-on exploration, novelty, collaboration, bonding and connection to real life. These concepts are core to any of our classes. Concept Maps, Graphs, Visible Thinking and other brain-based teaching strategies are utilized to help children truly learn and develop their young minds. Our virtual preschool program fits any family’s schedule, needs and interests. The goal of our program is to promote literacy, mathematical and scientific skills in an engaging hands-on, minds-on format that excites children about learning, getting them ready to thrive in kindergarten and beyond. Children 3-5 years explore academic concepts hands-on and minds-on through cooking, engineering, performing science experiments and exploring books together, allowing them to experience how these concepts work in real life. Our teachers provide a wholesome learning experience that prepares children academically while also developing critical Thinking Skills: a problem solving mindset, creativity and innovation, analytical skills, a love for learning, social skills, and independence. Our complete program provides approximately 2 daily hours of live class time in small groups of 11 children divided by age. All classes are offered in 3 different schedules daily. Younger children are offered shorter class times to fit their levels of readiness and interest, all the while including all of these concepts. We currently offer a 2 week free trial.

Throughout our lives, we work with others to achieve common goals. Physical fitness and health are important, but teamwork is a skill more valuable than tumbling or athletic ability. Our athletes have learned sportsmanship and learned to work toward shared goals. We have collected more than enough trophies, banners, medals, rings, and jackets to fill our gyms, but we are most proud of the life lessons that we have given the athletes in our program.
Our goal at Canyons Climbing Gym is to provide a friendly, positive, and comfortable environment with a sense of community. We work to ensure that beginners and experts will have the opportunity to enjoy, train, learn, and love the art of climbing.
