316 Counseling Center is thrilled to be hosting our first-ever summer camps! Our June camp is designed for children ages 5-7 and will be led by therapists and therapists-in-training. These therapeutic fun-filled camps will include special art projects, indoor/outdoor games, and activities to enhance self-regulation.
The session will run from Monday, June 20 to Friday, June 24th from 9 am-12 pm. The cost is $349 for the week and includes all snacks and supplies. However, we are currently running an “early bird” rate of $299 for participants who register before May 9th! Can’t wait to see you and your kids this summer! Thank you!
The second session is geared for ages 8-11 will run from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15th from 9 am-12 pm. The cost is $349 for the week and includes all snacks and supplies. You can explore our classes with our VESS Curriculum – approved by the Florida School Readiness Program and recognized worldwide for its evidence-based approach to the development of the whole child. Our online program provides children 0-5 years old with the richest and most wholesome early learning experience at home. Our professional educators have developed a complete experience-based program that targets all academic areas to get children feeling ready and excited about kindergarten, while having in mind that life goes way beyond academics and should also nurture life-long love for learning, independence and an array of Thinking Skills. Literacy, math and science, are all targeted. We are confident that children learn best through fun, hands-on, minds-on exploration, novelty, collaboration, bonding and connection to real life. These concepts are core to any of our classes. Concept Maps, Graphs, Visible Thinking and other brain-based teaching strategies are utilized to help children truly learn and develop their young minds. Our virtual preschool program fits any family’s schedule, needs and interests. The City of Richardson has five outdoor pools for public swimming. In addition to the main pools, Glenville Pool has a splash playground and Terrace Pool and Canyon Creek Pool have baby pools. Scheduled Learn-to-Swim and Lifesaving classes are taught by Red Cross certified instructors. A fee is charged based on the individual class.
Our newest addition is the Heights Family Aquatic Center which was opened in the Summer of 2013. Cheerleading, as in any team sport, can be and is an important piece in developing the character of the people who participate in it. In December 1998, the Crow Family opened the Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art as a permanent Museum located on Flora Street in the Arts District. Mr. and Mrs. Crow opened the museum in an effort to share their love of Asian art and culture. Since it opened, the museum has reached hundreds of thousands of children and adults through its various exhibitions and programming. The Crow Collection is one of a handful of museums in America dedicated solely to the arts of Asia. Timeless pieces, including a magnificent Japanese rock crystal sphere, exquisite Qing dynasty jades and monumental Mughal-style architectural works are balanced alongside internationally recognized exhibitions, which fulfill the museum’s vision of bridging East and West.
Established in 1903, the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is among the 10 largest art museums in the country. General admission is FREE! every day.
