Beat the summer heat with featured films just for kids at participating Cinemark locations. Purchase tickets online or at the door for $1.75 per person, per movie. Snack packs are discounted $1 off during Clubhouse showtimes.


Saturday Morning Kids :: City of Richardson
Saturdays

Saturday morning stories await little ones at the Richardson Council Chamber from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. The free event is for ages three to six. Registration is not required.


Destination: Dinosaurs :: Dallas Zoo
Daily

Dozens of life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs move and make noise at the Dallas Zoo. Visit the dinosaur cave, dig for fossils, and create crafts from 10:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 plus zoo admission.


Sensory Friendly Hours at Squishable :: Galleria Dallas
Tuesdays

Squishable fans with special sensory needs can browse with reduced lighting and sound from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. every Tuesday through October 1. There is no cost to visit.


WalkSTEM :: Klyde Warren Park
Daily

Explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) connections through app-guided walking tours of Klyde Warren Park in Dallas. The free event is for kids ages eight and up.

Mayor’s Back to School Fair :: Fair Park Dallas

Economically disadvantaged kids from Dallas ISD in all grades will stock up on school essentials, as well as receive needed services from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Register online.

Bear Creek Short Line Excursion :: Cotton Belt Depot

Visitors of all ages step back in time as they ride the Grapevine Vintage Railroad down Historic Main Street. All aboard at 10:30 a.m. Tickets range from $10 – $12 per person.

Free First Saturdays :: Nasher Sculpture Center

Visitors will experience a rotating schedule of artsy things to see and do at this downtown museum, including story time and treats for kids of all ages. This free event runs 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Dallas’ Original Watermelon Day :: Dallas Farmers Market

Savor summer with watermelon themed activities, tastings, workshops, music, demos, face painting, and more at this 6th annual family event from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Free First Sundays: Access for All :: Dallas Museum of Art

No reservations required on first Sundays at the Dallas Museum of Art. Experience special exhibits at no cost from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. through December.

Dallas Zoo Animal Adventures :: Reunion Tower

Have an animal encounter with Dallas Zoo residents on the GeO-Deck from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for kids ages four and older, and $19 for adults.

Classic Cartoons & Crafts at the Palace :: Lancaster Theatre

Create a craft while watching a classic cartoon at Grapevine’s Lancaster Theatre the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Kid tickets include a craft, popcorn, and a drink for $6. Adults tickets are $3 and include a drink.

Dollar Days :: Dallas Zoo
