There’s nothing quite like Saturday mornings spent at a local farmers market. These casual outdoor markets offer so much for the community, especially for anyone seeking out locally and ethically sourced meat and produce. My family and I enjoy spending weekends checking out a new farmers market and getting to know the local craftsmen and artisans in our beloved city. We can often be found searching out honey from local beekeepers, trying artisan coffee from shops around town, and (my personal favorite) food truck hopping! My boys especially love the Dallas Farmers Market because of the built-in play area. Most markets are very dog-friendly, so feel free to bring the whole family! Some even have special themed days like “Strawberry Festival” weekend in the summer or “Christmas at the Market” in December. We as a family try to head to one or two different markets during each season.
