There are many subjects in which I wish I were an expert. I do, however, have true expertise in finding the coziest pajamas and loungewear around. I guess you could say it’s a gift. I’m quite passionate about rewarding myself at the end of a long day with slipping into only the best pajamas, no matter the weather here in Texas.
It would be quite unfair of me to keep this talent to myself. Here are all my top pajama and loungewear picks (and my favorite robe and slippers!), so you too can be as comfortable as I am.

I love Soma’s Cool Nights collection because they have so many options! You can buy a pajama set or mix and match to meet your PJ preferences. The pants and shorts both have pockets, which for a mom, is huge! They have short-sleeve or long-sleeve options with nursing-friendly, open-front tops, as well as t-shirts and camisoles to fit everyone’s sleeping preferences. Personally, I like pajama pants and a button-front top. The fabric is light and cool to the touch, so even if you prefer to wear pants to bed, you won’t get too hot on a Texas summer night. I lived in these after my second daughter was born three years ago, and they are still in great condition. So, while Soma pajamas are a little pricier, they are definitely worth the splurge.
Hello Mello Sleepwear
This shop makes my favorite loungewear on the planet! They are perfect for a cozy day in or out running errands. The material is soft and stretchy and not super heavy, which is a plus in Texas. I love that both the top and bottom have pockets. You can wear the set or mix and match. I cannot wait to try more sets from them! This is the next one on my list.
Hello Mello also makes the best pajama pants and shorts. The fabric is buttery soft, and I swear they get even softer with every wash. They are for sure a must-buy, and you cannot beat the price!
Target’s Stars Above Pajamas
This Target sleepwear set is affordable but feels luxurious, which is a huge win in my book. It’s another set that opens to the front for nursing moms, and the material is light and breathable; again, such a win in Texas. This set also comes in a similar long sleeve and pants option that’s equally cozy. They are the perfect addition to your pajama drawer, especially if you are looking for affordable PJ option.
J.Crew Factory Pajamas
Okay, here comes my favorite pajama secret: I absolutely love how smooth and dreamy J. Crew Pajamas are. I only wish the price were as dreamy! One of my new favorite hacks is to grab pajama sets from J.Crew Factory. There aren’t as many color options, but they are usually half to a quarter of the price. These sets are super comfortable while also providing open front access for nursing moms. They’re high quality and last forever. You’ll definitely get the bang for your buck with these sets.
Target Slippers
I am obsessed with how comfy these Target Moccasin slippers are! The sherpa-lined sole is snuggly and warm. They are comparable to a more expensive option like Uggs, but you cannot beat the price! Definitely a must-grab.
Amazon Bathrobe
This waffle-knit bathrobe is perfect for Texas. It’s soft and lightweight, providing just enough warmth without being stifling. I love how breathable it is. It’s the perfect bathrobe to throw on while drying your hair or completing your skin care routine before bed.
