In the world of Pinterest, are you one of those moms that really wants to have a special and one-of-a-kind birthday party, but might not have the stamina or interest to coordinate all of the details?
Over here at Dallas Moms Blog, we are always looking for the easy, yet memorable, birthday party solution.
I recently wrote about East Dallas’ new treasure: Bake and Play Cafe. Bake and Play Cafe is a great stop for a weekday play date, an afternoon cookie snack, or a stress-free dinner.
But during the weekends, Bake and Play turns into birthday party central.
Last weekend, my son was invited to a Bake and Play birthday party and I got to experience the gloriousness of their parties first-hand.
First, you can pick a theme and go all crazy with ideas. Then, sit back and relax while the Bake and Play staff pulls together your party (for a fee). They are happy to make sure you have thematic table cloths, napkins, plates, balloons, etc.
Second, Bake and Play Cafe is a perfect fit for your budding chef. The birthday honoree and his or her guests get to decorate personal-size pizzas with the toppings of of his or her choice.
And while the pizzas are baking in the on-site kitchen, kids can redirect their focus to a personalized cake masterpiece. Each child is given a bowl with batter where the kid can add in candy mix-ins to the batter before the mini-cakes go into the oven. Once the cakes are cooked and cooled, kids ice and decorate as they please.
The mother of the birthday girl loved that she didn’t have to worry about a cake beforehand.
Toss in aprons and decorated chef hats, and these parties are too cute.
The parents at our party over the weekend especially enjoyed the quietness of the party room while the kids played behind the glass wall in the staff-chaperoned play area.
And the birthday mom said she loved how stress-free her day was leading up to the party.
Dallas parents, this place is a win-win. Be sure to check Bake and Play Cafe out!
