Thank you for all the information! When my kids were younger, we loved to get out and explore our town. Now they are 14 and 11 and their interest has changed, but I am not giving up on us getting out together, unplugged! I loved your article on downtown parks and those will be at the top of our list. Two fun things I would suggest checking out; Mr. Jeff story time at Barnes and Nobles on 15th street in Plano and Sharkarosa. When the children were little we tried every story time we could find. After my son was in preschool we found Mr. Jeff. He is by far one of the best story time tellers, and the children listen. Sharkarosa is a small wildlife refuge in Pilot Point. My kids still love this place. They used to have some animals out for interaction, lemurs, baby kangaroos, and Caroline got to hold her all time favorite Animal, a Kinkajou. Last time we were out there the animals were not out to pet, not sure if it was because of the crowd. I am sure you get tons of suggestions! Thanks for your blog! Mom’s of all age child’s are enjoying it! As you can tell I am not a writer. 🙂
Teddy Bear park! Diamond in the rough of a park. Huge teddy bear statues around a cute little pond at Lakeside Park in Highland Park. Great pictures
