Dallas Moms loves Doctor Edges in Garland for its direct care practice model, which basically translates to transparent pricing. No doctor referrals necessary and no copays required, patients simply pick and choose the services they want at an affordable price. It offers services such as hair restoration, fillers, weight loss therapies, dermatological services, aesthetics, and wellness.
Emler Swim School
Learning how to swim is an essential part of growing up. It’s a big leap for both child and parent. Emler Swim School takes away all the fear of putting your child in the water with its highly trained and caring staff. We love Emler Swim School’s small class ratios and wide variety of classes for babies up to big kids as well as competitive swim teams.
Hilton Southlake
Hilton Southlake has treated the moms of Beal Media like queens over the years. It’s our first choice for both team retreats and family staycations. It has an outdoor pool with chairs and umbrellas, a clean gym with Peloton bikes, treadmills, weights, and complimentary towels. There are several shops within walking distance. The nearby pond and walking trail are the cherry on top to a stay in Southlake.
House of Shine
House of Shine exists to help everyone find his or her spark – the thing that makes you shine. Its methodology hinges on the acronym S.H.I.N.E., which represents strengths, hobbies, interests/irritants, needs, and experiences. The staff walks you through each topic to help you tune into your life’s purpose. Its life-defining courses are for all ages. Visit its one and only storefront in Grapevine to get inspired.
Kismet
All that glitters is Kismet! Based out of Louisiana, Kismet bedazzles clients in customized face glitter for all occasions. Shop for face glitter by school spirit colors, holiday colors, or create your own. Its line of clean beauty products includes face care, makeup, tanning mousse and accessories, serums, and press-on gems. Meadows Museum
If you haven’t toured Meadows Museum in Dallas, what are you waiting for? Known for its collection of Spanish Art, visitors enjoy works by renowned names Francisco de Goya and Diego Velázquez. Find unique gifts for the artfully inclined inside the gift shop. The museum makes for a great date night on Thursdays when admission is free after 5:00 p.m. and it closes late at 9:00 p.m. Admission is free for children (until August 2025) and active military members and their families.
Melt Ice Creams
Visit Melt Ice Creams in Bishop Arts for homemade, gourmet ice cream. Melt partners with local farmers for the freshest, richest, creamiest dairy, and the cones and cookies are a secret recipe. A portion of all sales helps throw HAPPY birthday parties for children experiencing homelessness. It also vends scoops by the bag, cooler, cart, or “joy ride” for private events.
Skout Organic
As any mom knows, it is nearly impossible to find a kid’s snack that is healthy and yummy. Skout Organic to the rescue! Go for the butterflies, stay for the tranquility. As an underrated oasis in the epicenter of South Dallas, Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park is THE place to pass the time with your kids. From the friendly axolotls in the lobby to the sleepy serpents in the snake house, kids roam, discover, and play in nature. We recommend picnicking by the fountain, romping the tree house jungle gym, roaming the paths of wildflowers, crashing a wedding (not really, but you could), and waving hello and goodbye to the butterflies at the daily release inside the exotic greenhouse.

Ditch the overpriced rentals for your child’s next party, and book a crafting experience instead with Whimsical Wagon Crafting & Events.
